The Handicapped High Riders Club at Riding High Farm is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Premier Accredited Therapeutic Operating Center which provides trained instructors and volunteers to teach and assist handicapped children and adults. The natural rhythms of the horses’ motion helps a rider develop balance, posture, strength and coordination. It is a therapeutic and recreational way to assist with physical as well as emotional levels through the natural rhythms of horse motion.

Programs include:

·          Equine-assisted Therapy; Veteran’s Program (Horses for Heroes); Project Freedom (adult riders); Special Olympics; Eden Institute; Summer Inclusionary Camp

·          And more….

This non-profit 501C organization, founded in 1979 by locals Barbara & Hanen Isaac, has provided riding experiences annually to over 400 individuals ranging from age 14 months to over 55 years old.

Mostly working with volunteers & “angel horses” this facility runs heavily on donations, grants, local community members, family & friends alike to subsidize these programs.

“The students and horses aren’t the only special part of therapeutic riding. If you go to any riding center, you will meet a special team of people. Volunteers are the back-bone of this program”

This organization has just celebrated its 30th Anniversary & hopes to continue to provide services to the handicapped to keep them “Riding High!”
